Brandy and Monica Announce First Joint Tour After 25 Years Since “The Boy Is Mine” Release

Brandy and Monica, the dynamic R&B stars renowned for their hit duet “The Boy Is Mine,” have announced their first-ever co-headlining tour, marking an exciting reunion 25 years after their iconic collaboration. The tour, aptly named “The Boy Is Mine,” will encompass 24 cities, kicking off on October 16 in Cincinnati and concluding on December 7 in Houston.

During an appearance on “CBS Mornings,” Brandy expressed that they had been approached about touring together since 1998, but the timing now feels just right. She described the experience as a “dream come true.” Monica referred to their partnership as a “musical marriage,” highlighting the strong communication and relationship they’ve built over the years.

Their 1998 duet solidified their status in music history, holding the record for 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

This achievement placed them alongside legends like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. The song saw a resurgence in popularity following their surprise appearance in Ariana Grande’s music video last year, which also earned them a Grammy nomination for their remix collaboration.

Joining Brandy and Monica on tour will be Grammy winner Kelly Rowland, singer-songwriter Muni Long, and 2025 American Idol winner Jamal Roberts. Despite past tensions between the artists, they appear ready to celebrate their music and womanhood.

Monica remarked on the challenges of curating their setlist but emphasized their desire to provide fans with a memorable experience. Tickets for the highly anticipated tour will go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, with presales starting Thursday using the code BPC.

This tour is set to be a remarkable event for fans of R&B music.
